While I don't doubt your claim with Smith Micro, I just don't want FS users that read this thread to think that it is the norm and acceptable use for other figures that are based in that community, because the other company(s) that is similar to Smith Micro doesn't support having it's assets used in game design without one of the appropriate licenses they offer. While poser was the pioneer app for figure rendering and animation, it's content, mainly figures have lacked in quality and functionality over it's competitor for some time now. There is probably as much if not more 3rd party content, including new figures for that community than there is for the FS community There have been more and more inquiries in the forums about using the different apps mesh in games, which was the main reason some of the stores we sell content thru have included game licenses for the 3rd party products sold for both apps and is probably the reason Smith Micro came out with the game dev version in the first place. Their competitor has a very strict license if their proprietary mesh is to be used in a game and that does not include brokered mesh from vendors like myself. The main focus for both apps has always been rendering and animation, not game use. I also use their competitors product more now and am also a vendor for that community. Interesting, I have been a poser user and community member for awhile, have every version since 2000 when it was owned by Curious labs and not Smith Micro. ![]() Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.Īny other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.īy following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum. The software installer includes 42 files and is usually about 2.17 MB (2,272,085 bytes).
